UP Can Be Down

If you are like me, then you were really excited to see the new Disney/Pixar Movie, Up. I took the three children I am babysitting to see it today. I believe that it is rated PG for a reason. There are some heavy topics that the film introduces and harsh moments that jarred this Disney fan. The rest of the day was an emotional rollarcoaster with these kids, all processing what they had seen. Granted a bit of missing their parents must have been involved, but I really think the film affected them in an adverse way.

I did like the film, I just wish I had seen it with friends instead of impressionable children. Who would have thought I would be critizing Disney?

Am I just blaming Hollywood for my bad day?

• Pedicure (sometime soon thanks to a kiddo in my class)

School Closed. Swine Flu!

That's right, we caught the bug. Good news is I don't return to work until the 12th of May. More good news is I still get out May 22nd, kids last day being the 21st. Now, I do have a huge to do list school wise that I will still have to do this week BUT . . .
